This guide is for shoppers who found Von Diamonds (vondiamonds.com) and want to know what they are agreeing to before they pay for a ring, earrings or a necklace. It is not a review of the jewelry itself. We have not tested any product or store mentioned here. We read the store's own policy pages and a few outside sources, and we say where we could not confirm something. Policies change, so check the current terms at checkout.

Disclosure: We earn a commission or a fee when you click or buy through some links, at no extra cost to you. We label those links as ads. We have not tested any product or store mentioned here.

Quick answer

  • What it is: an online jewelry store that says it grows its own lab-grown diamonds and sells rings, bands, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. That is the store's own description (about-us page, read 26 October 2026).
  • Stones: the store says its diamonds are lab-grown and also lists some natural-stone options. We could not verify where any stone came from. Treat "real", "conflict-free" and "ethical" as the store's own claims, unverified by us.
  • Returns: 30 days from the ship date. A refund to your card has a $100 per-item fee, plus a $20 return shipping fee. Store credit has no return fee. This is the biggest cost to understand before buying.
  • Reviews are thin: Trustpilot showed 3.2 out of 5 from only 3 reviews. The store's own homepage claims 4.3 out of 5 from 1,500+ reviews, which we could not check.
  • Verdict: the store looks like a real, operating business with written policies. The return fees are high, and the independent evidence is small. Read the returns section before you pay.

Who runs Von Diamonds

The terms and conditions page says the site is operated by AJS Creations, Inc., doing business as VonDiamonds. The same page says New York law governs your purchase and that disputes go to individual binding arbitration, with small claims court still allowed. That matters if you ever need to dispute an order, because you give up a jury trial and class actions.

The store describes itself as "factory direct" and says it grows diamonds, cuts and polishes them, sets them and ships from its own facility. A product page we opened listed the country of origin as USA. We could not verify any of this, and we did not see a street address on the pages we read. The footer shows a 2025 copyright year.

The domain was registered in July 2023, so the store is relatively young. Age alone does not make a store good or bad, but it means there is a short track record.

Metals, stones and certification

What the store says about stones. Its lab-grown page says the diamonds are made in a controlled setting and are, in its words, conflict-free and better for the environment. Its comparison page says lab-grown and natural diamonds share the same chemistry and hardness, and that lab-grown diamonds usually have lower resale value. That last point is worth reading twice: the store itself says the price you pay up front is the main saving, not future resale value. These are all the store's statements, and we have not verified them.

Mixed stone types. The navigation also lists sapphire, ruby, emerald, aquamarine and alexandrite. The product page we opened showed a lab-grown or natural origin choice. Check the origin shown for your exact item before you add it to the cart.

Metals. Pages we read showed 10K, 14K and platinum options, and a product page described the 10K rose gold version with a G to SI diamond quality, with an upgrade offered to 14K gold or platinum. The store's metal guide explains karats in general terms. We could not find a hallmark or stamping promise on the pages we read. Ask the store whether the piece will carry a karat stamp. See our guide on metals and hallmarks.

Certification. The terms page says loose diamonds ship with a grading report, also called a certificate, and that you must send it back with a returned diamond or lose $100. The returns page repeats this for each certificate. We did not find, on the pages we read, which grading lab issues the reports or whether finished jewelry comes with one. Before ordering a larger stone, ask in writing which lab grades it and how you can look up the report number.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping is free on US orders over $500 (product only, not extended plans) and $20 below that. The store ships to US addresses only and not to P.O. boxes. Every package needs a signature, so plan to be home or use a secure address. You cannot change the address after you order, and the store says it cannot redirect a package once shipped.

Jewelry is either in stock or made to order, according to the shipping page. In-stock items ship in 1 to 6 business days, and made-to-order items can take up to 3 weeks. The product page we opened showed an estimated ship date. Note a small inconsistency: the homepage banner says free FedEx 2Day, while the shipping page says UPS 2nd Day Air for the free option. Ask which carrier and speed apply. The page also says risk of loss passes to you once the carrier takes the package, so keep your tracking details.

Returns and refunds

The return window is 30 days from the date your order ships, not the date it arrives. Read that carefully for made-to-order pieces. The returns page was marked as updated in October 2026.

  • Store credit: full value, no return fee.
  • Refund to the original payment method: $100 per item deducted before tax.
  • Return shipping: a $20 fee applies to every return, and a return authorization number is required.
  • Original shipping: not refunded on shipped orders.
  • Not eligible for a cash refund: Specials collection items and custom special orders are store credit only. Clearance items are final sale.
  • Condition: unworn, with packaging and paperwork. Diamond certificates must come back or $100 is deducted each.
  • Free gift orders: the gift must come back unused or its stated value is deducted.
  • Cancellations: free within 24 hours; after that a 10% production fee applies.

Once your return arrives, the store says it inspects within 7 business days. Card refunds can take up to one billing cycle to show. For a $1,500 ring, a card refund would lose at least $120 in fees before tax, based on the stated $100 and $20 charges. Store credit avoids the $100 but locks the money into this store.

What shoppers say

Independent evidence is limited.

  • Trustpilot (read 26 Oct 2026): 3.2 out of 5 from 3 reviews, newest dated 4 August 2026. One reviewer (5 stars, June 2026) praised service and a ring that shipped early. One (2 stars, May 2026) said they were asked to verify their identity, then the order was cancelled and they paid more elsewhere. One (1 star, August 2026) said the piece looked smaller than the photos suggested and that returns were not offered. Three reviews cannot show a pattern.
  • SmartCustomer/Sitejabber (read 26 Oct 2026): zero reviews.
  • The store's own claim: the homepage says 4.3 out of 5 from 1,500+ reviews. We could not trace the source.
  • BBB: we could not read a BBB profile.

These are individual opinions, not our findings. See how to spot fake reviews.

Verdict

Von Diamonds looks like a functioning online jeweler with detailed written policies, a phone number and a stated company name. Its main risk for you is cost if you change your mind: a card refund loses $100 per item plus $20. The independent review base is tiny, so you are relying mostly on the store's own claims about its stones. If you order, treat origin claims as the store's own and unverified, get the grading details in writing, and decide up front whether you could live with store credit.

Checklist before you order

  1. Read the current returns page and decide if the $100 per item plus $20 fees are acceptable.
  2. Check the estimated ship date, since the 30-day return clock starts when the order ships.
  3. Confirm in writing whether your stone is lab-grown or natural and which lab grades it.
  4. Ask whether the piece carries a karat or platinum stamp.
  5. Note that Specials and custom orders are store credit only.
  6. Plan for a signature on delivery and enter the right address; it cannot be changed.
  7. Pay by a method that gives you dispute rights and see refunds and chargebacks.
  8. Keep screenshots of the product page, price and policy on the day you buy.

What we could not confirm

  • Which grading lab issues certificates, and whether finished jewelry includes one.
  • Independent proof that any stone is lab-grown or natural as described.
  • Accepted payment methods (we did not read the checkout or financing page).
  • The FAQ page content (it loaded without readable answers).
  • A street address, BBB profile, and the source of the 1,500+ review claim.
  • Hallmark or stamp details for individual pieces.
