Editorial Policy
This page explains the standards we apply to every guide on PickGlobe.
What we publish and why
We publish guides that help people avoid common mistakes when buying online: wrong sizes, unclear materials, hidden costs, unsuitable specifications and poor return terms. Topics come from the questions shoppers commonly have in a category. Commercial relationships do not decide which topics we cover or what a guide says.
Sources
- Merchant and manufacturer information: product pages, size charts, specification sheets and policy pages, read at the time of writing.
- Standards and official guidance: published standards, labelling rules and consumer-protection guidance, for example on returns, cancellation rights and customs.
- Well-established general knowledge, explained in plain English.
Guides are written from these public sources. We do not test products hands-on unless a guide says so. Where we state a rule, such as a law or a standard, we describe it in general terms and tell you to check the current rule for your country or state, because rules change and vary.
How guides are written
Our guides are drafted with the help of AI tools from public merchant and product information, then checked before publishing. The checks we run include automated checks for broken links. AI-drafted text can contain mistakes, so we welcome corrections. We do not claim hands-on testing or expert review of products unless a guide says so.
What we do not do
- We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, test results, statistics or testimonials.
- We do not claim to have used or tested a product we haven't.
- We do not use words like "best", "#1" or "guaranteed" as claims about specific products or stores.
- We do not give medical, legal or financial advice. Where a topic touches health, safety or the law, we point to qualified sources.
Commercial relationships
Some links on PickGlobe are affiliate links, and we run small paid-search ads for partner brands. This is explained on our affiliate disclosure page. Pages that contain affiliate links say so. A store paying us a commission does not change what a guide tells you to check.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We review guides when we learn something has changed, and we correct errors as soon as we confirm them. If you spot a mistake, please email us with the page and the problem. When we correct a factual error, we update the page and its date.
