Corrections and changes
This page lists factual mistakes we have corrected in our guides and notable changes to how the site works. If you find something wrong, email [email protected] with the page and what is wrong, and we will check it against the source. See our editorial policy for how we handle corrections.
Corrections
- 17 October 2026: email authentication wording (web hosting and domains guide, German and Spanish versions, Compare table). We had described DMARC as acting on a message that "fails SPF or DKIM". The National Cyber Security Centre's wording is that a message passes neither SPF nor DKIM alignment. We corrected the sentence in all versions.
- 16 October 2026: ring size guide. Our ring size conversion table did not match the Gemological Institute of America chart it cites. We replaced it with the chart's values.
- 17 October 2026: certified trackers table. We corrected a table against the full source list.
Changes to how the site works
- 19 October 2026. Guides with store links now show an "Ad" notice at the top, and guides now name the person who publishes them instead of "the editorial team". We also now state that guides are drafted with AI assistance and checked against the listed sources, as our editorial policy already described.
