This page reads the store's own policy pages so you know what to check before you order jewelry (jewellery in the UK) or a watch from W. Hamond, a UK retailer that ships worldwide. It is not a review of the products or the store. We have not tested either, and the policies can change, so confirm the terms at checkout.
Disclosure: We earn a commission when you buy through some links, at no extra cost to you. We only link to shops we have a partner arrangement with, and we label those links as ads. We have not tested any product mentioned here.
Quick answer
- Return window: the returns page says refunds and exchanges must be requested within 14 days of receipt, and a banner extends this to January 8, 2027 for the Christmas period. The site also shows a "30 Day Money Back Guarantee" label that conflicts with the 14-day wording, so ask customer service which applies.
- Not returnable: special orders, and items that are personalized, engraved, adjusted or resized, plus earrings and cleaning products for hygiene reasons.
- Condition: new, with the original box, receipt and any free gifts, and you request the return first.
- Outside the UK: import duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility, payable before the courier releases the parcel.
1. Check the metal and the mark first
Before you think about returns, check what the piece is made of. Our guide to buying jewelry online explains karats, plated and vermeil items and how UK and US hallmarks work, and our ring size guide explains how to measure at home. Resized and engraved rings cannot be returned here, so measure first.
2. Returns
From the store's returns page (no policy date shown):
- Refunds and exchanges can be requested within 14 days of the date you receive the goods. Sale or reduced-price items must be returned within 14 days outside the Christmas extension.
- Items must be in brand new condition, packed as received with the original box, any accessories and free gifts, and with the original receipt. Refunds are not processed until everything is returned.
- Request the return through your account or customer service before sending. Unrequested returns may be delayed or refused.
- Worn items, or items showing signs of wear, are not accepted for a full refund.
- Special orders, bespoke items, personalized, engraved, adjusted or resized items, and special-order straps are not returnable. Earrings and cleaning products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
- On an exchange, no refund is given for the item you exchanged unless it is faulty.
- The page does not say who pays return postage. It recommends tracked, insured postage, so check the cost before you buy.
- Refunds are processed in up to 7 to 10 working days according to the page.
- Faults from accident, neglect or misuse are not covered by the replacement or refund promise, and the page says your statutory rights are not affected.
3. Delivery
- Free next-day delivery on in-stock items on orders over £125 (the page does not state the charge below that). Orders placed before 4pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day, and next day means the next working day, which is not guaranteed.
- Delivery is by a tracked, insured, signed-for courier. A faster guaranteed-by-9am option costs an extra £36.
- Outside the UK the page gives estimates of 3 to 5 days under £200 and 2 to 3 days over £200, with cost calculated at checkout.
4. Ordering from outside the UK
The store ships worldwide on a tracked, insured, signed-for basis and says orders outside the UK are sent Delivery Duty Unpaid, so you pay import taxes and duties before the courier releases the order. Some watch brands cannot be shipped outside the UK or Europe. For how import charges work in your country, see our complete guide to customs, duties and importing, and for your wider rights see online shopping rights and returns.
