Who runs RoC Skincare

The terms page (effective 10 Dec 2025) says the platform is operated by RoC Opco LLC, with a New York address. The about page says the brand began in 1957 at a Paris pharmacy; we did not check that.

Ingredients and labels (what the store lists)

The store sorts products by concern and by ingredient (retinol, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and others). Its FAQ describes the retinol line and gives usage tips, such as starting slowly, using sunscreen daily and doing a patch test. These are the brand's statements, not ours. The FAQ says retinol percentages vary by product and does not list them, and it tells people who are pregnant or trying to conceive to talk to a clinician. Read the full ingredient list and directions on each product page.

Opened-product return rules

The return page says "new, unused products" can be returned for a full refund. It does not say what happens to an opened product. The separate 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee page (effective 18 Oct 2021) works differently: you contact support, and if approved you mail back the unused portion with proof of purchase and a reference number, at your own postage cost. It covers only the original buyer and excludes unauthorized sellers. Which rule applies to a used product is unclear, so ask support in writing.

Shipping and delivery

The shipping policy (last edited September 2025) says orders go to US addresses only. Most are processed in 1 to 2 business days, with delays warned for November and December.

  • Economy: free at $35 or more before tax; $7 below that.
  • Standard: $8. 2-day: $12.
  • Loyalty tiers: free economy from $15 for Silver, and on all orders for Gold.

Alaska and Hawaii add 4 to 6 days in the policy and 2 to 3 in the FAQ. Allow the longer figure. Per the FAQ, orders cannot be changed after placing; address fixes and cancellations must be requested within 30 minutes.

Returns and refunds

Per the return policy page:

  1. Return new, unused products within 45 days for a full refund of the purchase price.
  2. No exchanges.
  3. You pay return shipping unless there was a shipping error or product damage or defect.
  4. Refunds take 3 to 5 business days after RoC receives the item, and go to the original payment method.
  5. Only purchases made at rocskincare.com are accepted. Items bought at other retailers go back to those retailers.
  6. Contact customer service through the Contact Us page to start.

Conflict to note: the return page counts 45 days from delivery, but the FAQ and guarantee page count from purchase. Return early to be safe.

Subscribe + Save (auto-ship)

The terms (updated December 2023) and FAQ say:

  • You choose every 1, 2, 3 or 4 months. Each item gets 10% off the regular price and ships free by economy.
  • You are charged 1 to 3 business days after the order date. The FAQ says an email arrives one week before a charge.
  • Cancel or pause under Manage Subscriptions in your account, or contact support. Cancelling less than 24 hours before the next shipment takes effect after it.
  • Sale prices do not carry over to later shipments.
  • A subscription does not create a login. The FAQ says to register a separate account to manage it.

What shoppers say

  • Trustpilot (26 Oct 2026): 2.4 out of 5 from 15 reviews, 11 in the past 12 months; about two thirds are one star. The profile is unclaimed; the sample may not be representative. Recent complaints (Aug to Sep 2026) include refused refunds or replacements for customers outside the US, a complaint that dragged on for months, damaged or underfilled items, and products that did not meet expectations. A few reviews praise a product or a fast replacement.
  • BBB (26 Oct 2026): F, not accredited. The page cites failure to respond to 3 complaints in 3 years. No customer reviews; complaint details not shown.
  • SmartCustomer (26 Oct 2026): no reviews.
  • Other sites (search, 26 Oct 2026): editors and small sites are mostly positive about the retinol range. Several pages are promotional.

Verdict

RoC appears to be a real, established brand with a working store and written policies, and the 45-day window is reasonable. The cautions are about service: the Trustpilot sample is small but negative, the BBB F rating relates to unanswered complaints, and the store's pages disagree on delivery times and when the 45 days start. Nothing we read suggests a scam or non-delivery. Skip auto-ship unless you want it, and keep records.

  1. Screenshot the return, shipping and guarantee pages on the day you buy.
  2. Check the ingredient list on the product page.
  3. Plan to return well inside 45 days.
  4. Budget for return postage.
  5. Pay by credit card and keep the order email.
  6. If you use Subscribe + Save, register an account at once and note the cancel steps.
  7. If an item arrives damaged, write to support the same day with photos.
  8. Ask support in writing how opened products are treated.
