This guide is for shoppers thinking about buying fine jewelry such as Caviar bracelets, rings and necklaces from lagos.com. It is not a review of the products. We have not tested any product. We read the store's own policy pages and looked for outside review evidence. Policies change, so check the current pages before you pay.

Quick answer
- Returns: Unworn jewelry can go back for a refund within 30 days of the invoice date, and unworn items can be exchanged within 90 days (LAGOS returns page, read 26 October 2026).
- Final sale: Engraved or custom items and gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged, according to the same page.
- Free shipping has conditions: Free shipping and returns apply only to US orders over $100. Orders of $100 or less pay $10 for ground shipping.
- Outside evidence is thin: Trustpilot shows only two reviews, so there is no meaningful public customer record to judge from.
- Verdict: This looks like a long-running brand with a clear published returns policy. Treat it as a normal brand store, but read the final-sale and international rules first.

Who runs LAGOS
The About page says the brand began in 1977 in Philadelphia, founded by jeweler Steven Lagos. It lists a flagship boutique on Rittenhouse Square from 1994 and headquarters in Philadelphia. The site's footer and terms point to a Philadelphia customer care address.
Sizing and fit
Fit matters with rings and bracelets. LAGOS has separate size guides for rings, bracelets, cuffs, bangles, necklaces and Smart Caviar. The ring guide lists sizes 4 to 14 with inside circumference in inches and millimeters. It says to call or email for another size and that additional sizing may take about one week.
Resizing is offered for a "minimal" alteration fee, and the lead time is about 1 to 3 weeks, longer for complex work. The fee amount is not stated on the pages we read. For custom sizes, the FAQ says to contact customer care directly.
Shipping and delivery
UPS is the preferred carrier. Items typically ship in one business day and arrive in two to six business days, but the page says delivery times are not guaranteed. US orders over $100 get free shipping if you pick SECOND DAY at checkout. Orders of $100 or less use UPS Ground for $10. Next Day costs $17. Express orders placed after 3pm ET on Friday, or on weekends, are processed the next business day.
Engraved or monogrammed items need an extra seven business days. LAGOS does not ship to PO boxes or APO, FPO and DPO addresses.
International orders ship by UPS, but the international page says sales to the EU are not supported. Duties and taxes are collected at checkout, so nothing more is due on delivery. That page says international orders are not eligible for free shipping or free returns, and it lists a limit of $25,000 per order before duties and taxes.
Returns and refunds
You can return unworn jewelry for a refund within 30 days of the original invoice date. You can exchange unworn jewelry for another LAGOS item within 90 days. The steps are to include the packing slip, pack securely, attach the prepaid label and drop the parcel at UPS. Exchanges ship only after the returned item has been received and processed.
Exceptions: engraved or custom items and gift cards are final sale. Purchases made through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) cannot be exchanged but can be returned for a refund. Complimentary returns apply to US orders over $100, not US territories. The pages do not say who pays return shipping on smaller orders, so ask before ordering a low-priced item.
Conflicts on LAGOS's own pages: The returns page says to allow 2-3 business days for a return to be processed, and later says to allow 7-10 days. The FAQ says 7-10 days. The banner promises free shipping and returns, but the shipping page limits free shipping to US orders over $100 with Second Day. Payment lists also differ: the FAQ names Amazon Pay and the terms page names JCB. International returns are said to be refunded 7-10 days after receipt, with the customer paying return shipping.
Cards are authorized when you order, but the pages say payment does not occur until the order ships.
What shoppers say
Public customer feedback is scarce. On Trustpilot (read 26 October 2026) lagos.com has a 2.9 score from two reviews, one 4-star and one 1-star, newest dated 22 April 2026. The profile is unclaimed. Neither review mentions shipping, returns or service, so it tells us almost nothing about the store. SmartCustomer shows no reviews. We did not find a BBB listing for the Philadelphia business.
Verdict
Nothing we read suggests a fake or risky store. The domain dates to 1997, the company history is detailed, and the returns policy is clear about its limits. The weak point is the thin outside review record, so you cannot see how returns and refunds work in practice.
Checklist before you order
- Confirm your order is over $100 if you want free shipping and free return shipping.
- Measure your ring or wrist size and compare with the LAGOS size guide.
- Avoid engraving or custom work unless you are sure; those items are final sale.
- Note the 30-day refund and 90-day exchange windows from the invoice date.
- Check the delivery estimate at checkout and allow extra time for engraved items.
- Ship returns with tracking and keep proof of drop-off.
- Outside the US, check duties and the EU exclusion before you order.
- Pay with a credit card so you keep dispute rights.
What we could not confirm
- A warranty or lifetime guarantee: we found none on the pages we read.
- The resizing fee amount, and whether resized items can still be returned.
- Return shipping cost for orders of $100 or less.
- Which processing time for refunds is correct (2-3 days or 7-10 days).
- Whether the company has a BBB profile; our search found none.
- The repair price list: a repairs PDF turned up in search, but we did not read it.
- The bracelet, necklace and Smart Caviar size guides: we read only the ring guide.
- Real-world refund speed and service quality: there are too few reviews.
