Quick answer

  • Established brand: the domain was registered in April 2012, and the terms name a New York company with a street address.
  • Returns cost money: 30 days from shipment, with a $10 handling fee in the US ($15 internationally) that covers return shipping.
  • Warranty is narrow but real: two years for bags bought after 21 April 2025, covering defects such as failed zippers and torn handles. Cosmetic changes are excluded, and the remedy is a replacement.
  • Public feedback is mixed to poor: Trustpilot shows 2.4 out of 5 from 22 reviews, with complaints about durability, warranty denials and slow replies, and some praise for style and organization.
  • Verdict: a legitimate brand with clear written terms. Buy if you accept the fee and the warranty limits, and keep your receipt.

Who runs Dagne Dover

The terms of service say the site is owned and operated by 18th and Walnut LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as Dagne Dover. The contact block and the warranty page both give 584 Broadway, Suite 603, New York, NY 10012. The terms were last modified on 16 April 2025, and the warranty page was last updated on 21 April 2025.

The terms say New York law applies, class actions are not permitted, and claims must be brought within one year.

Warranty and support

This is the most important policy for a bag. Key points from the warranty page:

  • Length: two years from purchase for "soft goods" (non-rolling bags and accessories), if you bought after the page's last-updated date. Earlier orders stay under a one-year policy. Rolling luggage has a 10-year limited warranty.
  • Who is covered: the original purchaser or gift recipient, with a copy of the receipt required. Items bought from resellers that are not authorized, and sale items described as sample, warehouse or similar, are excluded.
  • What counts as a defect: ripped handles, zippers that no longer open or close, fabric tears outside normal wear, and stitching failures that stop the item working.
  • What is excluded: cosmetic damage such as pilling, snags, stains and color changes, plus misuse, overloading, wrong cleaning, weather the product is not designed for, transit damage, loss and theft, and pet damage.
  • Remedy: at the company's option, a replacement, possibly in a different color and not guaranteed to be identical. You send the item back and pack it yourself; the company does not supply boxes.

Several Trustpilot reviewers say their claims were treated as cosmetic. Photograph any problem early and describe it by function.

Shipping and delivery

The shipping policy we could read is short. It says shipping methods apply to orders placed by 4:00 pm Eastern, Monday through Thursday, with no weekend delivery for expedited or rush options. It says the company cannot ship to PO boxes, and that processing starts immediately, so it cannot cancel or change an order.

A site banner says free shipping on orders of $75 or more. Rates for smaller orders, standard delivery times and international rates were not in text we could read. The warranty page says that for international parcels you pay customs and duties.

Returns and refunds

The refund policy says unused products can be returned within 30 days of shipment for US orders. The terms count from the shipping confirmation date, not delivery, so a slow parcel shortens your time.

  • Fee: $10 US and $15 international, including return shipping. You receive a prepaid label after your return is authorized.
  • Process: start in your account or through the request form. Items sent without authorization are not accepted.
  • Final sale and gift cards: no returns, exchanges or refunds.
  • Exchanges: not offered on international orders.
  • Large orders: returns on orders of $1,000 or more are processed after the company receives and inspects them.
  • EEA customers: a 14-day withdrawal right applies from receipt.

Defective or damaged items are handled under the warranty, which takes priority if the two documents conflict.

What shoppers say

Trustpilot (read 26 October 2026) shows 2.4 out of 5 from 22 reviews, with 45 percent one-star and 32 percent five-star and none in between. Nine reviews are from the last 12 months and the newest is 1 October 2026. Trustpilot notes the company has not invited customers to review, so the sample may not be representative. Customer opinions there:

  • Positive: organized compartments, attractive styles, and some who report years of regular use.
  • Negative: zippers, straps and stitching failing, and coating peeling within months for some.
  • Warranty: claims called cosmetic or out of date, with a partial price reduction offered instead of a fix.
  • Service: unanswered emails and slow deliveries for some orders.

We could not read any Better Business Bureau or Reddit pages. Web search results for the brand name also included sites on other domains that imitate its policy pages. We did not open them; check that the address bar says dagnedover.com.

Verdict

Dagne Dover looks like a genuine brand with a registered company, written policies and a real warranty. The risk is how its terms work in practice: a fee on every return, a clock starting at shipment, and cosmetic exclusions that some customers say were used against them. If you want to buy, treat the fee as part of the price and keep proof of purchase.

Checklist before you order

  1. Confirm the checkout page is on dagnedover.com and read the shipping cost shown before paying.
  2. Note the shipping confirmation date; your 30 days start there.
  3. Budget $10 (US) or $15 for any return.
  4. Do not buy final sale items unless you are sure.
  5. Save your order email as the receipt the warranty requires.
  6. Buy directly from the brand or an authorized retailer to keep warranty cover.
  7. Follow the care instructions on the site, since misuse and improper cleaning are excluded.
  8. Photograph any defect the day you notice it.

What we could not confirm

  • Standard shipping rates, delivery times and international rates.
  • Refund timing and the return policy detail pages behind the FAQ, which load by script.
  • Contact hours, phone number and email address; they did not appear in the text we could read.
  • Accepted payment methods.
  • Better Business Bureau and Reddit feedback.

Conflicts between the store's pages: none found in the pages we could read. Trustpilot reviewers mention a one-year warranty, which matches the older policy for orders placed before 21 April 2025.
