Is Sugarlips Legit? Sizing, Returns, Shipping and What to Check Before You Order

This guide is for shoppers who are considering a dress, top or seamless piece from Sugarlips (sugarlips.com) and want to know how its returns work before ordering. It is not a review of the clothes. We have not tested any product. Policies change, so read the current terms at checkout.

Who runs Sugarlips

The terms of use say the site is operated by Offline, Inc., and give a Los Angeles address for copyright notices. Returns from outside the US go to 2931 S Alameda, Los Angeles, CA 90058. The About page calls Sugarlips a women's contemporary brand that began with sweaters and says it sells seamless clothing and is carried by department stores such as Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. That is the store's own statement and we did not check it with those retailers.

Sizing and fit

The Size Guide page on the site loaded with no readable chart in the text we could read, so we cannot say what measurements it gives. Product pages and the size chart may load content we did not capture.

What we can say from the pages:

• Exchanges are limited to the same style, so a wrong size is the main thing the exchange option covers.
• A wedding-collection (R.S.V.P.) item must come back unworn and unwashed with every tag, including the seal tag.
• Final Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged, so check the size twice on those.

Customer opinion on sizing is mixed. SmartCustomer reviewers describe some pieces as fitting poorly at the hips and chest, one as a bit too big, and another as true to size. That is eight reviews at most, so it says little about the range as a whole.

Shipping and delivery

The shipping policy covers the contiguous US for its standard tiers. Orders over $75, after discounts and gift cards, ship free. The table also shows a $5.99 flat rate; its layout is unclear, so we read it as the charge for smaller orders. Priority Mail (3-5 days) is $12 and overnight is $25. Overnight orders placed before 11am Pacific ship the same day.

Orders ship Monday to Friday within 1-2 business days, and the page asks for up to 3 business days for processing. The free tier uses FedEx SmartPost at 7-10 business days, which is slow, so choose a faster method for a dated event. Apartment and office deliveries may need a signature.

International customers pay a calculated USPS rate, and the buyer is responsible for import fees. If you refuse a shipment, the original shipping and return cost come out of your refund.

Returns and refunds

1. Request the return in the portal within 14 days of the ship date. Requests outside the window or outside the portal are denied.
2. Pay the $10 fee, which is deducted from the refund. Original shipping is not refunded.
3. Items must have tags and no makeup, hair, deodorant or other stains, and be unworn, unaltered and unwashed.
4. Items that fail inspection may be denied entirely, or refunded less a 30% restocking fee and return shipping.
5. Allow 3-7 business days after receipt to process, plus bank posting time.
6. Final Sale items cannot be returned.

You can also choose an Instant Refund code, which works like a gift card, and get the rest back to the original payment later. Klarna returns must be made within 14 days of the order date, and unpaid installments continue until paid.

Canada, US territories and international orders cannot be exchanged. They must be postmarked within 14 days of the order date and the customer pays return shipping.

Conflicts between the store's pages. The returns page says a $10 fee is deducted; the terms say return shipping charges are deducted. The returns page says 3-7 business days to process; the terms say a refund appears within seven days. The homepage cart message says "Easy Returns", which sits oddly beside the fee. Plan for the stricter reading.

What shoppers say

• Trustpilot: the page showed no reviews and an unclaimed profile (read 26 Oct 2026).
• SmartCustomer: 3.0 from 8 reviews (newest 9 Feb 2023, first 2016). Complaints included a 30% restocking fee plus $10 after a disputed damage claim, a refund refused over the return window, and no reply to emails. One reviewer praised a quick exchange.
• Quality: opinions split between "well made" and cheap-feeling fabric.
• Reddit and BBB: we found nothing for sugarlips.com.

This is very little evidence, and most of it is old. Treat it as opinion from a handful of people.

Verdict

Sugarlips looks like a genuine, long-established fashion label, not a throwaway shop: the domain dates from 2000, it names its operating company and gives addresses. The risk is not scams but terms. A 14-day window counted from shipping, a $10 fee and strict condition rules mean a wrong-size order costs money. There is almost no fresh public feedback, good or bad, to lean on.

Checklist before you order

1. Read the size chart on the product page and compare it with a garment you own.
2. Check whether the item is Final Sale.
3. Count 14 days from the ship date, not the delivery date.
4. Subtract $10 and your own return postage from the price when judging value.
5. Try the item on carefully, keep every tag and avoid any stains.
6. Use a faster shipping method if you need it for an event.
7. Use a card or PayPal for dispute options, and note that Klarna installments continue after a return.
8. Screenshot the returns page on order day.
