Is Bloomchic Legit? Sizing, Shipping, Returns and What to Check Before You Order

This guide is for shoppers who are thinking about ordering plus-size clothing from Bloomchic and want to know if the store is real, what it charges for shipping and returns, and what other customers report. It is not a review of the clothes. We have not tested any Bloomchic product. We read the store's own policy pages and some public review pages, and we say where each fact came from. Policies change, so check the current pages before you pay.

The About page (read 26 Oct 2026, no date shown) describes Bloomchic as a digital-first fashion brand for women in sizes 10 to 30. It says the company was founded in 2021 and that its on-demand supply chain is headquartered in Guangzhou, China. It also says a 2022 funding round was led by L Catterton.

The terms of service (read 26 Oct 2026, no date shown) say the site is operated by "Bloom Chic" and hosted on Shopify. They say the terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. We did not find a street address, phone number or registered company number on the pages we read.

A public domain lookup (RDAP, read 26 Oct 2026) shows bloomchic.com was registered on 7 May 2017, earlier than the 2021 founding date. We draw no conclusion from that.

Sizing and fit

Bloomchic says its clothes are made in sizes 10 to 30. Its size guide page (read 26 Oct 2026, no date shown) calls the chart a reference for measuring yourself and sends product questions to support@bloomchic.us. The chart itself did not come through as readable text when we fetched the page, so we cannot quote measurements.

Reviewers describe fit as inconsistent. On Trustpilot, some say a dress ran large or faded after washing, and others like the fit. A UK reviewer group said some tops gave less support than the product photos suggested. These are customer opinions, not our findings.

Measure yourself, compare to the chart on the exact product page, and read reviews of that item.

Shipping and delivery

From the store's shipping page (read 26 Oct 2026, no date shown):

• Standard shipping is $6.99 for the US, EU, Australia and UK, and $12.99 for Canada. Express is $16.90.
• Free standard shipping applies to orders over $69 after any reductions.
• US outlying areas, including Hawaii, and APO or FPO addresses: $15.99 and 15 to 18 days.
• Listed times: UK 7 to 11 days, Canada 12 to 16, Germany 11 to 13.
• Processing takes 1 to 3 days before shipping, and longer in busy periods.
• QuickShip items ship from a US warehouse and are listed at 3 to 7 days. If your basket mixes QuickShip and other items, splitting the order costs $3.99. Otherwise it all ships together.
• US orders show sales tax at checkout and the store says no extra duties are charged on delivery. Orders outside the US ship duty unpaid, so import duties and taxes are your responsibility.

If you live outside the US, ask your customs office what applies. Clothing is often taxed.

Returns and refunds

From the store's return policy page (read 26 Oct 2026, no date shown):

• You have 30 days from receiving the item to start a return, and the parcel must be postmarked within that time.
• Items must be unworn, unwashed and in original packaging, with tags and hygiene liners attached.
• Bodysuits, lingerie, jewelry and most accessories cannot be returned. Swimwear liners must stay in place.
• Return fees are subtracted from your refund (see the table). The original shipping fee is not refundable.

So a return is not free. A single $40 dress returned by US post would cost you $7.99.

These are customer opinions on public sites. We cannot verify them.

• Trustpilot, bloomchic.us: 2.7 out of 5 from 22 reviews, labelled "Poor" (read 26 Oct 2026). About 59 percent of reviews are one star and 18 percent are five stars. Trustpilot says the company has not replied to negative reviews. Themes: return and refund emails unanswered for weeks, partial refunds or store credit offered, late or missing parcels, sizing and fabric complaints.
• Trustpilot, bloomchic.co.uk: 3.5 out of 5 from 98 reviews (read 26 Oct 2026). Half the reviews are five stars and 35 percent are one star. Positive reviewers mention fabric, fit, range and price. Negative reviewers mention slow delivery, split shipments, unanswered emails and a non-working chat.
• SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber): 2.3 out of 5 from 3 reviews, the latest from July 2025 (read 26 Oct 2026). Too few to rely on. Themes: paying return shipping, missing items in split parcels, stalled tracking.

We looked for Reddit threads and a Better Business Bureau profile and could not find or read either.

Verdict

Bloomchic is not a store with no trace. It has written policies, a payment page, multiple contact routes, a clear 30-day return window and a Trustpilot presence. It is also a store where return fees are taken from refunds, delivery can be slow, and a share of reviewers say support was hard to reach. If you accept those terms, it is reasonable to try a small order. If you need fast delivery or free returns, it may not suit you. This is a reading of policies and public reviews, not a test.

Checklist before you order

1. Measure yourself and compare to the size chart on the specific product page.
2. Check the total at checkout, including shipping, and see if you are near the $69 free-shipping line.
3. Decide now how you would return it, and budget $5.99 to $7.99 for the return fee.
4. If you are outside the US, find out your import tax rules first.
5. Pay with a card or PayPal so you can dispute a charge if the order never arrives.
6. Keep tags and liners on, and photograph the item and packaging before you ship it back.
7. Save the order email, tracking number and return receipt, and re-read the policy pages on the day you buy.
