Who runs Hill House Home
The About page says Nell Diamond founded the company and is its CEO. The terms of use list Hill House Home, Inc. at an address on Broadway in New York. The domain has existed since 2013. The store also lists physical stores, and the returns page says in-store returns and exchanges are accepted within 15 days of delivery with no extra handling fee.
Fabric and care (what the store lists)
On the product pages we read, care details are listed under "Details + Care". One top sheet is listed as 100% cotton, made in Portugal, machine wash warm, tumble dry low. A duvet is listed as cotton sateen filled with a polyester-type fiber fill, made in the USA, machine wash cold. Check the care label of each item you pick, because instructions differ by product. We have not tested any product.
Sizing and fit
Dresses and pajamas have a size guide that opens from the product page, with inches or centimeters. Bedding comes in Twin, Full, Queen and King. Measure your mattress depth before buying fitted sheets. One Trustpilot reviewer from 2024 said items marked the same size fit differently. The size guide is where to confirm measurements, and a clothing return costs $12 unless you opted in to Checkout+.
Shipping and delivery
The shipping policy says orders ship from a warehouse in New Jersey and can take up to five days to process before a shipping email is sent. Product pages say to allow 3-5 days, so the two pages differ slightly. Standard delivery is by USPS. FedEx Ground and two-day options are listed. Orders over $250 get free standard shipping according to product pages and the cart. Monogrammed orders take 2-4 extra days. Pre-ordered items are charged on the day of order, and the cart notes that an order with a pre-order item will not ship until that item is in stock. Gift wrap also makes the whole order ship together.
Returns and refunds
The refund policy page says items must be new, unwashed, unworn and in original packaging, and returned within 15 days of delivery. The returns and exchanges page says unwashed, in original packaging with tags attached. You start the return in the returns portal, which creates a prepaid label. The fee rule is the key point: $12 comes off your refund unless you bought Checkout+ for $3.79 when you ordered. Monogrammed items cannot be returned. Refunds are not processed until the warehouse has received and checked the item.

Some praise the portal, the designs and the quality of certain items. These are customer opinions.

Verdict
Hill House Home looks like an established brand: more than a decade of domain history, a New York address, working contact details and physical stores. The risk is not a fake store. It is the policy terms and the reported service problems. A 15-day window, a $12 return fee and final-sale monograms mean you should be sure before ordering. The small Trustpilot sample is poor, but with 17 reviews and an unclaimed profile it is not strong evidence either way.
