This guide is for anyone thinking about buying a portable fridge, solar panel, power gear or other camping equipment from BougeRV and wondering how shipping, returns and warranty claims work. Who runs BougeRV

The site footer names BougeRV TECH CO., LIMITED at an address in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The terms of service say the site is operated by Guangzhou Boju Technology Co., Limited, with a registered address in Guangzhou, China, and that the terms follow the laws of China. These are two different company names on the store's own pages, and we do not know how they relate.

The contact page also lists a Houston, Texas office, marked as not for returns or exchanges. Separately, Kemimoto's terms say BougeRV is a brand in the ISSYZONE Group. BougeRV's own pages do not say this. The domain bougerv.com was registered on 4 May 2017 and runs to 2030, based on RDAP.

Warranty and support

The warranty page says the period starts on the purchase date. It lists these examples: portable refrigerators 2 years, water heaters 2 years, air conditioners 1 year, racks and carriers 1 year, solar controllers and inverters 18 months, solar batteries 5 years. Solar panels are listed at 5 to 10 years for materials and workmanship, plus a 25-year performance warranty. The page says some models differ, so check the manual. Accessories such as cables, bags and adapters can be returned only within 7 days of receipt if there is a quality problem.

Conditions to know:

  • Only the original buyer is covered, with proof of purchase, and only for bougerv.com orders.
  • The store says repair comes first and free replacement is generally not supported.
  • If a product cannot be repaired, a replacement is free in the first year. After a year, you pay a prorated cost based on the original price and the remaining warranty period.
  • You pay labor for removal and installation, and you prepay shipping to the store and carry the risk of loss in transit.
  • Modifications void the warranty, and misuse, wrong installation and cosmetic marks are excluded.

Shipping and delivery

The shipping policy lists warehouses in California and New Jersey. It asks you to allow one business day to process the order, then 3 to 7 days with UPS, FedEx or USPS. Most products ship free by standard shipping; the store says a fee may apply to a few special products and will show it at checkout. The About page says 3 to 5 days, which does not match the shipping policy.

It will not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands or the Virgin Islands, nor to APO, FPO, DPO or PO boxes. You can cancel before the item ships for a full refund, but not after. The store says most orders do not incur customs duties, and that the buyer is responsible for lawful import.

Returns and refunds

The refund policy lets you return a purchase within 30 days of receipt if the item is new, undamaged and unmodified. BougeRV does not cover return shipping in that case. It says it will pay shipping if you received a defective or incorrect product. If an item is out of stock, you can cancel or wait.

Do not send anything back before contacting the store, because the address on the original package may not be the return address. Modified products are returned at the owner's expense. The policy does not say how long refunds take. Heavy items such as fridges and panels can be costly to return, so ask about return shipping before you buy.

What shoppers say

Trustpilot shows 4.4 out of 5 from 3,445 reviews (read 26 October 2026): 74 percent five-star, 9 percent one-star, newest dated 21 October 2026. Praise centers on cooling speed, quiet running, battery life, quick shipping and helpful support. Complaints include a warranty claim refused a few days after expiry, a complicated return process, units that failed within a year or two, and damage on arrival. The company says it replies to 90 percent of negative reviews, usually within a month. These are customer opinions.

We found no Reddit threads. The BBB search listing we saw shows a D+ rating and no accreditation. We did not read the full profile.

Verdict

BougeRV looks like an established seller with solid ratings and clear policies. The main cautions are the returns terms (30 days, buyer pays return shipping, no stated refund timing), the warranty rules (prepaid shipping, labor on you, prorated replacement after a year), and the mismatch between the company names on its pages. If you buy a fridge or solar kit, keep the order record and photos, and register any issue early.

Checklist before you order

  1. Confirm your address is eligible: no PO boxes, APO or Alaska, Hawaii and territories.
  2. Check the warranty length for your exact product in the manual.
  3. Photograph the box and the product on arrival and report damage right away.
  4. Test the product within the 30-day return window.
  5. Contact the store before returning anything and get the return address in writing.
  6. Ask who pays return shipping for heavy items.
  7. Pay with a method that has dispute rights, and keep the order emails.
  8. Do not modify the product while under warranty.
