This guide is for anyone thinking of ordering from beek (beekshop.com) who wants to know if the store is real and what happens if the shoes do not fit. It is not a review of the products, and we have not tested any product. Store policies change, so check the current pages before you pay.

Quick answer

  • What it sells: mostly women's leather footwear (sandals, flip flops, sneakers, ballets, heels, loafers, mules, clogs, boots), plus handbags, jewelry and socks (home page, 26 October 2026).
  • Returns: 14 days from delivery, unworn items only, and a $10 restocking fee comes off the refund unless you are in one of two higher loyalty tiers (beek returns page, 26 October 2026).
  • Shipping: free ground shipping on orders of $200 or more; loyalty members ship free. Below that, we could not find a flat fee on the pages we read.
  • Verdict: beek looks like an established brand with a real address, a long-registered domain and clear policies. The main costs to plan for are the short return window and the restocking fee. Independent review volume is very low, so there is little outside evidence either way.

Who runs beek

The terms of service name Early Autumn, Inc, doing business as beek, with its headquarters at 415 29th Street, Newport Beach, California. The Our Story page says the founders, Birgit and Kenna, met in 2002 while working at Quiksilver and Roxy, and that the shoes are designed in California and made in workshops around the world from vegetable-tanned leather. That is the brand's own description; we could not verify it.

Sizing and fit

The sizing advice comes from the store's FAQ, read 26 October 2026.

  • Sandals are made in whole sizes only. The FAQ tells half-size wearers to size up; closed-toe styles come in half sizes, so order your true size.
  • The leather is described as very soft with some stretch, so a snug first fit is described as fine.
  • The sandals are built on an average-width last. For narrow or wide feet the store asks you to email customer service for suggestions.

One independent article (PureWow, 24 July 2023) says a true 8.5 found the next size up a little large, and that the brand's half-size advice then differed from the FAQ now. Guidance has changed over time, so follow the current product page and ask support if you are between sizes.

We could not open a stand-alone size guide page: the address we tried returned an empty template.

Shipping and delivery

From the shipping page, read 26 October 2026:

  • Since 12 January 2026, ground economy shipping is free on $200+ orders in the US. Loyalty members ship free.
  • UPS 2-day and Next Day Air cost extra and are not refunded if you return the order.
  • The page gives no transit day counts. Below $200, we could not find the standard fee; it may show at checkout.

Conflict: the shipping page says beek ships to Canada, the UK and Australia through a service called Passport. The FAQ says beek does not ship internationally and points to retailers. We do not know which is current. If you are outside the US, check at checkout and ask who pays duties. Our customs duties guide explains the usual charges.

Returns and refunds

From the returns page and FAQ, read 26 October 2026:

  • You can return unworn, unused items in original packaging. Refunds go to the original payment method within 14 days of delivery, less a $10 restocking fee. Higher-tier loyalty members (VIB and Golden Bird) do not pay it.
  • You start a return in an online Returns Center, which gives a UPS label. Other carriers must be trackable.
  • Exchanges are free, subject to stock. You can choose an instant exchange (the new item ships at once, your card is charged only if the original does not come back within 14 days) or wait until the carrier scans your return.

Fourteen days from delivery is short for leather shoes you may want to wear indoors for a few days. The returns page does not say who pays for the return label, so ask support first.

If a refund never arrives, see our guide to refunds and chargebacks.

What shoppers say

  • Trustpilot (read 26 October 2026): rating 3.2 out of 5 based on a single review, dated August 2026. The reviewer says an order was marked delivered but never arrived and that the reply they received was generic. One review is not a pattern, and the profile is unclaimed.
  • Smart Customer (the Sitejabber successor, read 26 October 2026): no reviews.
  • PureWow (24 July 2023): a single editorial review of one sandal style. The writer found it cushioned and supportive, noted the sizing issue above, and said the strap creased easily and metallic color rubbed onto the insole after a few wears. This is one person's opinion on one style.
  • We found no Reddit threads and no Better Business Bureau profile for beek.

The brand also lists stockists, where more reviews may exist. Our guide to fake reviews can help you read them.

Verdict

beek looks like a legitimate, long-running footwear brand: a named US company, a physical address, a domain from 2014, plain policies and a working returns portal. We found no scam signals. The caution is mostly about terms: a 14-day window, a $10 restocking fee, and conflicting information about international shipping. Outside evidence is thin, so you rely mainly on the store's own pages.

Checklist before you order

  1. Read the current returns page and note the 14-day clock, which starts at delivery, not at purchase.
  2. Decide whether a $10 restocking fee is acceptable on the pair you are considering.
  3. Check whether your style is a sandal (whole sizes) or closed-toe (half sizes) and choose accordingly.
  4. If you have narrow or wide feet, email support before ordering.
  5. Ask whether the return label is free for you if you are not a loyalty member.
  6. Check the shipping total at checkout, since only the $200 threshold is stated.
  7. Outside the US, confirm that the store ships to you and who pays duties.
  8. Keep the packaging, try shoes on indoors, and keep order emails.

What we could not confirm

  • The standard shipping fee for orders under $200 and delivery day counts.
  • Which payment methods checkout accepts.
  • The content of the size guide, whose link returned an empty page when we tried it.
  • Whether international shipping is currently offered (the shipping page and FAQ disagree).
  • Who pays return shipping for non-members.
  • Better Business Bureau status, Reddit feedback, and the product ratings shown on the store's own pages.
