Some shampoos are sold with "purple" or "no yellow" in the name. This guide is for people who see "purple" or "no yellow" on a bottle and want to know what to check. It reads one brand's own range and product pages so you know what a product name like that does and does not tell you.
We have not tested any shampoo, and a product name is not proof of an effect. For hair type, labels and ingredients, start with our guide to choosing shampoo and conditioner online.

Quick answer
- PHYTO's US store has a menu group called "Blonde, bleached, white, & gray hair care". It opens a collection named PURPLE.
- The collection lists two products, as we read the store on 21 October 2026: PURPLE No Yellow Shampoo (8.45 fl. oz., $26.00) and PURPLE Repairing No Yellow Mask (6.76 fl. oz., $38.00).
- The collection page itself has no description. The claims are on the product pages, and they are the brand's own words, not our findings.
- Opened products are not accepted for return unless damaged or defective, so read the label first.
1. What the brand says on the product pages
Both product pages say the product neutralizes unwanted yellow tones due to natural oxidation, and call it an "optimal maintenance solution for gray and white hair". The shampoo page says violet pigments correct yellow and copper highlights; the mask page says purple pigments do. Both pages are labelled vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, silicone-free and gluten-free.
The pages also quote percentages from a "clinical study carried out on 22 volunteers over 28 days with grey, white or bleached blonde hair", for example 100% saying hair is soft. We do not know who ran the study, how the volunteers were chosen or how the questions were asked, and 22 people is a small group. Treat the figures as marketing, not as proof of what the product will do for your hair.
2. Price per 100 ml
Converted from the sizes on the store (1 fl. oz. is about 29.57 ml), using the price and size at the time we looked. This is our arithmetic, and prices change.
| Product | Size on the store | Price | About per 100 ml |
|---|---|---|---|
| PURPLE No Yellow Shampoo | 8.45 fl. oz. (about 250 ml) | $26.00 | $10.40 |
| PURPLE Repairing No Yellow Mask | 6.76 fl. oz. (about 200 ml) | $38.00 | $19.01 |
Our shampoo guide explains how to compare price per 100 ml across brands.
What to check before you buy
- The claims. The FDA says it has no list of approved claims for cosmetics, and that cosmetic claims must be truthful and not misleading. A brand's percentages are its own.
- The ingredient list, if you have allergies or sensitivities. Open the product page, since the collection page does not show it.
- The size, so you can compare price per 100 ml with other bottles.
- The return terms (below), because opening the product changes what the store accepts.
3. Returns
Our reading of the store's return policy is in Before you order from PHYTO USA: opened items are not accepted unless damaged or defective, and the cost of a return is deducted from the refund. A shampoo that does not suit your hair is therefore a cost you carry once it is opened.
What we could not confirm
- What either product does for your hair: the results quoted are from the brand's own study, which we could not see.
- The full ingredient lists: check them on the product page if you have allergies or sensitivities.
- Whether the range changes: collections change, so confirm on the store.
