Who runs Cult Gaia

The terms of service are a contract with "Cult Gaia" and are governed by California law. Disputes go to binding arbitration with a class-action waiver, unless you opt out by email within 30 days of first use, and the terms say the store runs on Shopify. The footer lists nine shops across California, New York, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee and France. The domain was registered in February 2011. We did not find a registered company name on the pages we read.

Sizing and fit

The shipping and returns page includes a size guide for clothing, shoes and swim. The clothing chart runs XS (US 0-2) to XL (US 10-12) and lists bust, waist, hip and thigh in inches. The page says sizes are measured against a model who is 5'8" in size small, and that size, fit and measurements can vary from one style to another. Compare your measurements with the chart for the specific style. Because bags and shoes have only a 7-day window, check shoe length and bag dimensions on the product page before you order.

Shipping and delivery

The store says most orders ship 1-3 days after purchase, pending availability and credit verification, and arrive within 5-7 business days of the ship date. It does not ship on weekends or US holidays and offers no Saturday delivery. Two US methods were listed: Ground at $10.00 and Two Day at $18.00. A site banner separately advertises free shipping over $150. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Once a package is scanned as delivered, the store says it is not responsible for theft or damage. It sells optional package protection through Route. For orders outside the US the page says DHL Express is used and duties are collected at checkout and passed to local customs; the store says it is not responsible for international shipments lost in transit. Returns and refunds

This is the part to read twice.

  • Window: 14 days for clothing and 7 days for accessories, bags and shoes, counted from delivery.
  • Condition: unworn, unaltered, unwashed, no fragrance, tags on, original packaging and the original box. The page adds that Cult Gaia boxes should not be used as the outer shipping box.
  • Final sale: cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Cost: return shipping is deducted from your refund. International returns are returns only, with no exchanges.
  • In-store purchases: only returnable in store, for credit or exchange.
  • Timing: up to 7 business days for a refund or exchange to be processed. An instant-refund option through Reshop is offered to eligible returns.
  • Rejected returns: items that do not meet the policy are not accepted and are sent back to you.

What shoppers say

On Trustpilot (read 26 Oct 2026) Cult Gaia showed 1.4 of 5 from 126 reviews: 82% were one star and 11% five stars. Twenty-five reviews were from the last 12 months and the newest was dated 9 Oct 2026. The page showed no company replies to negative reviews. Recurring themes, which are customer opinions we cannot verify:

  • Returns received but refunds delayed, or returns rejected for alleged wear or stains.
  • Late or missing deliveries.
  • Slow or no replies from customer service.
  • A few complaints about item quality or condition on arrival.

A web search did not turn up BBB, Sitejabber or Reddit pages we could read, so we have no figures from them. Reviews skew toward people with problems, and the volume is small for a brand this size.

Verdict

Cult Gaia looks like a real, established label selling from its own site, with shops and a domain registered in 2011. The policies are clear but strict, especially the 7-day window for bags and shoes and the final-sale rule. The review record on refunds and support is poor. If you buy, pay by credit card, buy full-price items you are sure about, and keep all packaging.

Checklist before you order

  1. Check whether the item is marked final sale or sold at a reduced price; those cannot be returned.
  2. Note the window: 14 days for clothing, 7 for bags, shoes and accessories, counted from delivery, not from the order.
  3. Compare your measurements with the size chart for that style.
  4. Budget for return shipping, which is deducted from any refund.
  5. Do not remove tags, wash, wear near perfume or discard the box until you are sure.
  6. Photograph the item on arrival and keep delivery confirmation.
  7. Pay by credit card so you can dispute a charge if a refund never arrives.
  8. Screenshot the policy page on the day you order.

What we could not confirm

  • Which payment methods Cult Gaia accepts; we did not find a list on the pages we read.
  • The company's legal entity name and any BBB listing.
  • Whether the Reshop instant refund is available for your order; the page says only "if eligible".
  • The separate Domestic Returns and International Returns portal pages, which we did not open.
  • A third-party blog claimed a restocking fee on cash-refund returns. The store's own page does not say this, so we cannot confirm it.
  • The store's FAQ page and a stand-alone warranty policy; we found neither.
  • Authenticity of items bought from resellers. We only describe the store's own site.
